I've been thinking...

So lately, especially yesterday, I have been thinking about how blessed I am. I am guilty about only thinking about the bad things in life. I know this isn't a good thing, but I have noticed I have been angry about the most stupid things. Yesterday I had a family party for my sisters birthday. My family came over, and we had the best time. We are all very close, and had a great time. The thing that made a difference in my life came during that party. My aunt and uncle had a brand new baby named Rhett. My family has had a lot of recent births, but this one I hadn't met before. I haven't seen him at all. My grandma let me hold him, and the moment he came in to my arms, my life felt like it instantly changed. I realized then that I am so blessed. Blessed for my family, friends, and my life. Every time Rhett smiled I couldn't help but smile. Getting to see Mason, my other aunt and uncles son interact with him, Rhett's brother interact with him, it made me feel warm. I realized that I want to make all of these babies/ toddlers have the best life. Just like I have. I want them to feel as blessed as I do. I want them to have a reason for living. These kids, are the ones that have changed my life forever. These kids made me appreciate life. They made my realize the good things in life, and don't let the bad over rule. I think this is a turning point for me.
Just like I have, I want you to find the good part of life. Feel blessed to be here right now. Feel blessed to have the family that you do. Feel blessed for the friends that you have. Make those around you as blessed as you do. Because I think we all want our loved ones to feel as fortunate as we do. You have to realize, some people don't have this in their lives. Just because you didn't make your cake right, you made a mistake in a letter to your co worker. Instead of feeling angry, and like it is the end of the world, think about what you do have. Think about that newborn baby or child in your life that you want to feel as blessed as you do. If you drown in the negative, nothing will go right. Only the positives will make you go forward in life. I know that from now on, I will not focus on the negatives, because the positives are the ones that are going to change my life, and me as a person.

Whats New?

Hello again! I know I have been bad at writing different blog posts... ok... really bad... gulty as charged.
So what has been happening with me you might ask? Well my parents have recently gotten a divorce. It has been rough, but my family is filled with strong people and we will make the best of it just like we always do. My art has been the same as always but I have recently picked up two new passions! One of them is photography. It is a form of art that I can also blend in with my regular art. My other new passion is golf. My dad is really good at golf, and when I decided that I would give it a go, I found out that not only is it a challenge that I can work on to keep me busy, but also you can always improve. For example, you have just mastered getting a good swing, now you can work on your sense of direction. Those sorts of things. I am going to try my hardest to write posts as often as possible, but who knows what life will have to bring me these days. :)

Pictures

Hey everyone! Sorry that I have not written in a long time. Just recently my grandma Donna came to town, and showed me her new blog ''My Life One Frame at a Time'' (Make sure to check it out!) Looking at her pictures inspired me to try my own pictures. Here is a little taste of some of the pictures that I have recently done.

Happy Birthday Mom!

My mom's birthday is coming up soon. I just want my mom to know that I love you so much, more than  anyone will ever know. Love is not a strong enough word to describe my feelings for you. You inspire me to do so many things, and I would not be the person I am without you in my life. I am so appreciative of you, and I don't know what I did to have been so lucky to have you behind my back. Mom, you have taught me that anything is possible if you set your mind to it. I couldn't have a better ro-model, to guid my way and lead me to a strong healthy life. Thank you for everything.

Ho ho ho!

Hey guys! I hope everyones Christmas/ Hanukkah/ Kwanzaa or any other holiday was a joyful one! I sure had a great time! spending time with friends and family was a blast! I got my mom something special, that I hope she likes and as much as I do. She deserves everything great and I hope the necklace that I got her reassured her that I love her more then anyone will ever know.
I got my dad something that brings back memories from our past. Does anyone remember lady fingers? The cream filled, that here in Colorado you can't get anymore? Well, they are cream filled heaven that my dad and I LOVE.  I ordered some from the company that creates them, and I loved my dad's eyes when he saw them. We used to get a whole package of them and watch movies together, on the couch, and stuff our faces with the one and only, cream filled, melt in your mouth, ladyfingers.
Boy, I love the holidays! Hope to write again soon!

P.S. I just thought you would like to know, I am writing this on my brand new Macbook Air laptop! See why I love the holidays! Not only do I like to give presents, but getting them is nice to! :)

Long Time No See!

Hey all of my wonderful viewers! I am so sorry I have not written anything in while! I have missed my blog and have totally forgotten about it until now. So I thought I would kick things off with some Christmas spirit! I don't know about you, but I am so ready for Christmas! Can't it come any sooner? I have already decorated my house with a sparkling Christmas tree, with colorful ornaments, next to a cozy fire with stockings hanging over it, and the smell of Christmas cookies that fill the whole house with with wonderful scents. My favorite thing to do is to sit on the couch by the window, turn on the fire grab a blanket and a book, and read. Ahhhh thats the life. One of my favorite traditions that my family does every year, is we all get up in the morning and sit by the Christmas tree, with the anticipation of ripping up the nicely rapped packages that are staring at us under the tree. My mom cooks cinnamon rolls that we get the day before. We wait for her to serve us and then we pass out a package one at a time, open it, give thanks to the people that have bought us the gift, and move on to the next person. While all of this is happening, Christmas music is playing in the background. Then we go to our grandparents, and we have other traditions for those parties. Another one of my favorite traditions that we do on Christmas eve is we go to my grandparents house, pick up my grandma, and go out to get some Christmas PJ's, while all of the boys stay at my grandparents to eat sloppy joes and watch a football game. My Christmas is so much fun! I will try to post more posts than I have, but in the meantime, Happy decorating! :)

My BFF

  Skyler-
I have a powerful friendship with my best friend Madison. You might have read the blog post I wrote about her called The Silly Side of me. I didn't talk a lot about her, but you know that we love to basically make fools out of ourselves. We also mean a lot to each other. We understand each other, we trust each other, and we are not afraid to be ourselves. We may not have much in common, but I take that as an advantage. Down below this paragraph, Madison will right a paragraph with her thoughts.

   Madison-
Hi, my name is Madison and as you may have heard, Skyler is my BFF[Best Freckled Friend]. tonight, the 14th of September, we're having a sleepover, which usually consists of dancing, make up, and a lot more goofy stuff. Skyler is a very loving person with a gentle and kind heart, ready to have a fun time. What she said is true, we don't have a lot in common, but share interests like school, reading, and sketches and master pieces of art. Skyler, YOU ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry about not posting it earlier, but I totally forgot about it until now!!!!
